Artist Statement:

I'm intrigued by the opportunity to become more immersed in the arts community. As my paintings improve, I believe I can now confidently stand in the abstract realm alongside many other artists. 1228 has an incredible goal to bring together artist and continue to foster growing relationships - I'm in.

Bio;

Jack Williams

An English born Canadian raised artist, Currently working out of Hamilton Ontario, Jack began painting in 2020 during the midst of Covid 19. Abstract art quickly transitioned from an observing interest to a source of purpose. Through the use of many layers, mark making and particular colour choice, abstracts quickly became Jack's dominant style.

Themes of Jack's works include subconscious thoughts, personal narratives, and the intention to pause people for reflection. Jack commits to being a learner of the arts, describing his work as "not quite their yet, but has potential."
